Serial Voice Module

The HSC009 is an MP3 chip with a serial port, perfectly integrating hardware decoding of MP3 and WAV. It also supports SPI driver software and file system downloads for XP, WIN7, WIN8, WIN10/OS/IOS/Android (almost all systems). Simple serial commands can be used to play specified music and control playback functions, eliminating the need for complex low-level operations. It can also be used as a small-capacity USB drive. Stability and reliability are the key features of this product. Additionally, this chip is a deeply customized product, designed as a low-cost solution specially developed for the voice field.

FAQ

1.When the module is connected to the computer, it prompts for formatting. How to proceed?

First connection to a computer requires formatting. Select FAT as the file system and check Quick Format. After formatting, simply drag and drop MP3/WAV files. The usable capacity after formatting is approximately 3.96M for 4M Flash and 15.8M for 16M Flash.

2.Serial command sent but no response. What is the cause?

①The module serial port operates at 3.3V logic level; communication will fail if connected to a 5V MCU without level shifting. ②Baud rate mismatch - default is 9600bps. ③Command frame format error - missing start byte 0x7E or end byte 0xEF. ④RX/TX lines are crossed (wired incorrectly).

3.TF card not recognized after prolonged read/write, card drops after a short read?

TF card power is supplied by the chip's built-in 150mA LDO output; do not connect an excessively large current-limiting resistor in series. For a peak current of 144mA, it is recommended to use a 2.1Ω/2.2Ω resistor, with a 0.1μF filter capacitor connected in parallel at the card slot end. Place the capacitor close to the card slot pins to minimize voltage drop and undervoltage protection; if the input to the chip is less than 4.2V, no series resistor is needed.

4.AD button function fails. How to handle when the button is not in use?

The ADKEY pin must be pulled up to 3.3V when idle, otherwise the module detection will be abnormal; to enable/disable the AD button function, serial port commands need to be sent.

5.How to use the interjection function? Will it resume the original music after the interjection ends?

Use the 0x43 insert command to play content with higher priority than background music; multiple insertions can interrupt each other, and after all inserted tracks finish playing, the previously playing background music automatically resumes.

6.What to do when volume and track memory are lost after power outage?

Module has power-off memory enabled by default. Only single track stop, full disk loop mode, volume, and EQ settings are saved. Direct power-off during playback will not save the current playback progress. It is recommended to pause playback before powering off.

7.How to resolve low speaker volume and noise?

1. Ensure sufficient supply voltage; peak playback current up to 1A; insufficient power load can cause distortion. 2. Do not leave the MUTE pin floating; default low level outputs sound.
